How we help

One of the main pillars and basics of understan is to help the communities in need. As we often travel to unstable or post-war countries, the profits from these trips help support the people here. Currently, we help the communities in the Caucasus, Central Asia, and Eastern Bloc.

In Tajikistan, where the growing authoritarianism has seen a widespread crackdown on freedom, causing deeper economic crises, which brought more than 23% of the population to poverty, we support the Minority Rights Group. Also, we help the individuals in the Bartang valley of the Badakshan region.

In Armenia, where economic situation is not easy, we support COAF, which is a non-profit NGO that employs community-led approaches aimed at improving the quality of life in rural Armenia.

In Slovakia, we work with Caritas to support mainly children in poor families.
